Original German helmet(shell) but confidently say that the color and decals of the original can not be (there is no documentary confirmation), see the photos and reasonably make bets.The helmet was used in the form of a vessel, the eyelets were also clogged with rivets, one eyelet was somehow removed. Helmet a little acid (remove excess oxides) because of this the decals are slightly highlighted and a little brightly look at the photo, the helmet is covered with wax from this and glare in the photo. WW2 German M35 Helmet and Liner.

Bought this a few years ago with the intention of doing up as a single decal Luftwaffe but never got round to it. Cannot see any markings or stamps in the shell so selling as a REPRO, and the liner which was fitted when bought is also a repro. The shell has by look of it never been painted and has a layer of surface rust which looks to have had a thin coat of lacquer applied. Looks good as is on a shelf or an ideal project. World War 2 German Luftwaffe M40 Helmet with Eagle Decal and

Here we have a World War 2 German Luftwaffe M40 Helmet with superb flying eagle decal and period liner with no rips. The helmet has amazing markings best I have seen. Item was stored in a dry shed in a box for 70 years. The helmet has two makers marks on the inside (Please see photos) The first one located on the left hand side of the inner rim is ET64 which means the helmet was maufactured at the The Eisenhttenwerke in Thale, Harz, Germany. The Eisenhttenwerke in Thale was the largest of all helmet production facilities during World War II (see photos of manufacture) The second makers mark is located on the inner rear rim is which denotes the run number from the batch of production. Both markings are clear fully readable. For closer images please message me. This is the best example of this type of helmet you will find. Great historical and collectors item.
