This is an absolutely stunning original Antique Victorian stripped pine dressing table. It has been stripped and polished and is ready to be used. It has a central swing mirror and two side pivoting mirrors. The mirror support has two small drawers and two little cupboards. The main chest consists of two long drawers with original brass swing handles. It measures 41" wide by 20" deep. The height of the chest is 29.5" and the height to the top of the mirror is 63.5". The family-owned company steadily expanded throughout the first half of the 20th century. In , Sibast’s children, Emma, Ole, and Helge, took the reins, and together they carried Sibast to international acclaim. According to Anna Sibast, great-granddaughter-in-law of the company’s founder, “Emma was in administration, taking care of the finances and the employees’ wellbeing. Ole played a big role in selling, for example, to Hilton Hotels and the White House, to name a few. For Sale Large Antique Pine Chest of Drawers, dimensions are approximately mm High, Wide and 530MM Deep, front to back including handles. Drawer depths from the bottom drawer upwards are: 270mm, 220mm, 170mm and the two smaller drawers are 115mm deep. the previous owner told me she bought the drawers second hand in and the clear plastic handles were on it then, they are one piece moulded and screwed into the drawer as you can see in the pictures, one of them has slight damage, second down on the right. There are age related marks and a couple of splits but that adds to the character. The bottom drawer has some damage, a strip of wood at the top has broken off so a gap shows when the drawer is closed, the piece of wood is there so may be fixed. Because of the damage the price is £135. Genuine Antique.
