My "Croix de fur" cyclo cross bike for sale. Bought it 2 years ago to go touring but never got round to it so it hasn't had that much use. Be sad to see it gone but just not using it enough. It is a very good bike. It has general cosmetic wear but other than that it is all works. Steel frame and folks so it is very smooth to ride. I had upgraded the forks, saddle, tyres and peddles. Medium Day One for sale. Bought last October as I decided that I wanted a cross bike for some dirt roads and wet weather commutes. Ridden in the Pentlands a few times, a couple of gravel rides and some wet weather commuting so hasn’t seen a lot of use. Spec is as follows: - Genesis Frame and fork - Alex XD Lite Wheelset - Genesis cranks (42x18) - Avid BB7 disks - Genesis finishing kit - Reliable touring tyres for commuting There are a number of aesthetic marks in the paint from general use but no rust, dents or dings. The only thing that needs attention are the bearings in the front hub as there is a little bit of play, however this is a cheap and quick job in a bike shop or at home if you have the bearings. The bike does not include pedals although if really needed I may be able to find the terrible stock ones that came with it. It is a very comfortable bike for commuting and perfect for blasting around the Peatlands on gravel or single track. Coming from a mountain bike background I was very surprised at how confident this bike is at descending.
