GARTER CARRIAGE MONITOR for Knitting Machines - Unused

This is a "G-Carriage Monitor" made by Custom Knits & Mfg, Lake Park, Michigan, USA. These are still made and the company's website gives more info. This one has flat (not angled) brackets as shown. It attaches to the knitting table (minimum length 44 inches) with the clamps and it's main purpose is to cut down on the time it takes for the garter carriage to knit across the needle bed and turn to knit the next row. It reduces to time taken to overshoot and return. The monitor has other uses described in the instruction leaflet. It is complete and was bought at a show and never used (ring any bells?).
