Garmin etrex Vista HCx handheld GPS - lightly used
For sale is a Garmin etrex Vista HCx handheld GPS - the device has only been lightly used at is was used inside as a means for understanding how gpx data is stored and converting it into digital maps. The device has been used in the field once, during a bat survey, where it did a good job under closed canopy (much better than the standard etrex gps devices which we were comparing it against). It has a high sensitivity receiver which gives it a good level of accuracy and quite quick at fixing satellites. It also uses AA batteries and can take an SD card, so you can store lengthy tracks or upload data for use whilst out in the field. The gps comes with usb cable, manual, device software and belt clip. Let me know if you have any queries but the best place to find out information is on the Garmin website.
