Double futon in excellent condition, freshly washed sofa cover so very clean. The base is pine, it's solid and in great condition. The cushion/mattress has a zip making it easy to wash. It's simple to convert into bed/sofa, but the mattress/cushion is heavy. It is a comfortable mattress as a sofa or a bed. I think it'll possibly fit into the back of a car (for transporting) with the seats down as it comes in two parts, the base and the cushion/mattress.

Futon sofa-bed base (& 2 futons if wanted) in Greenwich

This substantial (i.e. heavy!) futon sofa-bed base has been with us for 12 years and is still looking good. Converts easily from sofa to bed and we found it comfortable as both! Wooden slats allow the futon to breathe and are replaceable. We still have the instructions in case you ever need to disassemble it (to get through narrow doorways/halls). We also have 2 x 6-layer futons if you want them (but we understand if you don't). One has a black&red oriental cover (pictured), the other has a dark blue cover. The base is 10 inches off the ground before you add the futons. The bed is 83 inches long and approx 55 inches wide (if your space is tight that's how much the futons themselves need to lay flat on the base). Any questions, do please ask!

I am an animal lover who keeps a huge variety of pets myself all rescued from local animal shelters. I have worked with animals for the last 12 years in wildlife centres, domestic centres and currently in a veterinary practice. I am nearing the end of my studying for the veterinary care assistant qualification and will be starting my veterinary nursing training at the end of the year. I currently have one dog, four cats, two rabbits, eight chickens, one turkey, an aviary of birds and also four hives of honey bees. Along with my husband we look after all these and also have two allotments local to our home. Our main motivation for wanting to look after your animals is that, we know what it is like to go away and worry about leaving your animals in the hands of other people. We want to be able to put your mind at rest and go on holiday knowing your animals will be receiving the same care and attention they would with you.
