This kit (camera, bag, memory card, batteries, manuals) is suitable for someone who wants a good-quality digital bridge camera for still photography, without spending a fortune. it is not particularly suitable for video photography, although it has a video mode. This is a digital bridge camera and is specified as a 6.3Mp camera, although you can set it to 12Mp. It has a viewfinder and a screen and you can switch between them. At its finest setting (12Mp fine), the 2GB memory card can accommodate about 400 photos. The lens is f/ mm optical zoom (35mm equivalent). shooting modes include auto, aperture, shutter, manual, programme, macro and SP (which allows selection of various auto modes e.g. portrait, landscape...). It has integral flash and a hot-shoe. Focus modes are manual, continuous and shutter-press. The focus and/or exposure can be pre-set to the centre of the frame or off to one side, etc. it has multiple-frame modes for capturing fast action, best frame, etc. it also uses Pictbridge for direct printing to a PC printer. Outputs are mini-USB and audio/visual. it has a tripod mounting socket underneath. This camera kit includes camera, rechargeable AA batteries (it won't run on regular AA batteries), camera bag, 2GB XD memory card and the original instructions. The camera is about 10 years old and until about a year ago was my main camera. It is in good working order.
