Up for sale I have an immaculate, Circa ’s Frontalini accordion. It has 120 basses, 41 treble keys, 4 sets of treble reeds, (LMMM). It is musette tuned. The treble keyboard measures " ranging from F to A. It has a wrist coupler, changing between the three clarinet reeds (MMM) and four sets of reeds (LMMM). It is 5 sets of bass reeds. The accordion, with its straps weighs 8.8kgs (19.2lbs), extremely light for a 4/5 voice accordion.. This accordion is in immaculate condition, for its age. This accordion has had the works done to it. It has taken about 60 hours. What has been done is, Both treble and bass reeds have been, Cleaned, re valved, waxed, tuned to concert pitch (A = 440Hz). Both the treble and bass pallets have been re padded, the treble keys levelled and the bass mechanism reset. Both bellows gaskets have been replaced. The accordion is made by Frontalini, Circa, 's, so it is art deco period, pre, second world war accordion. It is a quality instrument, reeds are excellent, very responsive, (no rust) and compression is excellent. The treble keyboard has a fast action with good strong springs. It has also been serviced with adjustments, replacements and cosmetic touches made where required. It also comes with its original bass, shoulder and bellows straps. Calvi Parma accordion 4 voice musette

Just back from my accordion repairer for checking,10 reeds replaced in L section..Four reed treble,five couplers one of which(marked as Celeste) is an MMM musette, 2 bass couplers..NB there is another Calvi which looks the same as this, but only has 3 reeds and is not a true musette. The 3 voice sells for £499 but a 4 voice musette like mines is at least £599 from a shop. Ideal reasonably price box which, from the late 50s but still life in it yet.Bellows are great, keys and buttons all working and in place. This Calvi Parma has, 41 treble keys, 4 sets of treble reeds (LMMM). Treble keyboard measures ", with a note ranging from F to A. It has 5 treble couplers, which are, Clarinet, (M), Organ, (LM, Bandoneon), Master (LMMM), Bassoon, (L), and Celeste (Musette MMM). It has 5 sets of bass reeds, with 2 couplers, switching between upper reeds (high) and master. The accordion, with its straps, weighs 10.2kgs (22.4lbs). Last pic shows next to Delicia for comparison. This accordion is made in Italy by the Calvi company, mid to late 50s, so it is a quality instrument, using the finest of materials. Treble keyboard is fast and quiet. Up for sale, I have a Hohner Amati VIII, 5 row C system accordion for sale. It has 4 treble voices (LMMM), treble (Musette Tuned), 49 notes, ranging from A (A, lower than a 41 note piano accordion) to Bb (higher than the high A on a 41 key piano accordion), so that it has a 5 octave range from the lowest A to the highest A. It has 2 sliding couplers, behind the treble keyboard, making available 4 combinations of reed configurations, these are, M (Clarinet), LM (Bassoon and Clarinet), MMM (Musette) and LMMM (Master). It has 5 sets of reeds in the bass, with 1 sliding coupler switching between upper reeds (high) and master, all reeds sounding. Bass and treble reeds have been re-valved, and tuned to concert pitch (A = 440Hz). Both the bass and treble have been re pallated. The accordion is made by Hohner, an excellent Italian manufacturer, Circa, early 's, so it is a quality instrument, using the finest of materials. Treble keyboard buttons and felts are original and have been levelled. I have replaced 3 of the diminished buttons in the bass section. It weighs 10kg, 22lbs. It has also been serviced with adjustments, replacements and cosmetic touches made where required. The compression is excellent. The accordion comes with a new ruck sack (Retail at about £100). Both the shoulder and bass straps are not original but are of good quality Italian make. The bellows straps are original. I have kept the price of all my accordions to the absolute minimum. Accordions, by nature, are very complex and have an extraordinary amount of moving parts (the bigger they are, the more work is involved) and therefore consume a vast amount of time in an overhaul to bring them up to a high standard of playability.
