Cockerels for FREE. RIR, Araucana, Cuckoo Marans and Vorwerk

Various Cockerels FREE They've all been handled since day one and are friendly. The older boys are have obviously been handled more, so are more comfortable with being picked up etc. RIR has always been a little more shy There is a grey Araucana (blue egg laying gene), a Rhode Island Red - both 17 weeks. There is a Vorwerk (white egg layers) and 3 cuckoo marans (dark brown egg gene) - they are coming up 11 weeks. The grey Araucana does have a crooked foot which we tried to remedy when he was a little chick to no avail (this doesn't bother him in the slightest) The beige feathering has come through since the earlier photo. The Araucana and Marans carry blue and dark brown egg laying genes, so can be used to breed Easter eggers/olive eggers depending on your hen, or creating blue egg layers from white laying hens. French Copper Marans chickens, cockerel and pullets

We have a Copper Marans cockerel from french/dutch lines. He's from excellent dark egg laying stock, we brought in two new cockerels to improve our stock but have decided we only need one. He's about 18 to 20 weeks old i think. We also have 3 pullets from our own birds that are about 13 weeks old, so all together they would make a good breeding group. And will be ready for the spring season. You would need to keep the hens separate from the cockerel for may another 5 or 6 weeks IMO.
