Hand made large chesterfield style scroll arm vintage style country house sofa,, This is a very well made hand built solid wood framed sofa, fully sprung support to the base and back, sound and sturdy, we love it but sadly it really is far too large for our small sitting room so very reluctantly it is being offered for sale.It is upholstered in a divine ethnic style fabric depicting elephants, flowers and trees in an elegant colourway of antique gold, taupe, old ochre and dusky terracotta. so very earthy colours.(I am not sure if it is velvet or chenille) it is a hardwearing fabric, lovely and soft to the skin and very comfortable to lounge out on.It has four bulbous turned wooded feet which do unscrew to enable it to go through smaller doorways.There are no holes or stains but please do remember that this is a used sofa so therefore not pristine brand new. we have no children/cats in our home and we are a smoke free home.We do have a small dog but she is forbidden (bless her) to lounge on the sofa, she has her own chair.The length of the sofa is approx. 230cm the depth from back to front is approx. 106cm the height including the legs is approx. 78cm (the legs stand approx. 12cm tall) and as I said do unscrew.The height to the seat is approx. 40cmThe back scatter cushion fillers are feather, the seat cushion fillers are not feather for a firmer seat. they are not foam but some other material.This sofa is heavy and will need strong people to move, we are able to assist at this end. This beautiful large room sized rug is made in Belgium by Mastercraft in a traditional/ middle eastern/french/Aubusson style design called Murat which would look equally fantastic in various styles of room decor from traditional/country to Eastern,French,Shabby Chic or contemporary. It measures 170 x 228 cms and has a creamy beige background with wide patterned border and centrepiece in terracotta,duckegg/palegreen,black and taupe. It is used but in very good condition. The flash on my phone has made the colours look a bit washed out but they are lovely and clear and vibrant as seen in the first closeups. Rust brick red patterned vintage traditional style rug

Lovely traditional style rug made of hard wearing polypropylene which is resistant to moths and shrugs off dirt and stains. It is mainly brick red in colour with neutral accents in the pattern. It is in very good condition and has carpet gripper pads sewn to the back to stop it travelling on carpeted floors,but these can be easily removed if intended for a hard wood or stone floor.
