The piece is made of good quality wood with no signs damage or previous repairs. The varnish coat shows light signs of wear in places over the years. The legs are double tapered and are solid. As are the two flared lifting handles. External measurements are (approximately): Top of Handles - 62cm Seat Height - 55cm Length - 56cm Length (between handles) - 61cm Width - 36cm The cushioned seat is original and will need to be reupholstered as the textile edging is starting to come loose and the original horse hair padding has lost it's uniform texture. (As shown in the pictures). The seat is hinged and reveals a large storage space, inclusive of slotted sections for storing music. Free upright Piano and stool. Please read the whole ad before messaging me as I am spending a lot of time explaining to people what is involved in picking up a piano. I am giving away an old piano which needs some work but is perfectly playable. It is scuffed, the pedals don’t work and it will need retuning after moving. That said, I have been happily playing it for 10 years now. It also has a proper piano stool which has space for storing music. 130cm high, 145cm wide, 62cm deep. If you think you would like it, please be aware that picking up a piano is a lot harder than picking up a chest of drawers or wardrobe, it weighs A-LOT (about 200kg). Before messaging me, please ask yourself the following: Do you have a trailer, or a van with a ramp or tail-lift? If not, how are you going to lift it into a van when you would probably need at least 5 or 6 people? Would you be able to pick it up 21st-23rd June? If you can answer ‘Yes’ to these questions then please message me and I’d love to give you this piano.
