Lovely piano to be given away for free! Originally given to us as a gift but sadly no longer wanted... In quite good condition and ideal for beginners who need something to practise on. It does need a little maintenance (a few of the end notes aren't working) but it's in pretty good tune. Hello and welcome to Pianos4everyone. This is a compact Chappell Piano in excellent condition. The detailing on the case is lovely and would make an exceptional piece of furniture in anyone's home. I purchased this in the Cotswolds from a Piano Tuner. As you can imagine the piano is in superb condition mechanically and was regularly tuned and maintained. He was just buying a baby grand instead. The keys are immaculate and the piano is generally in superb order. ?Chappell are highly regarded as piano manufacturers. They made for the nobility and gentry years ago and established a second to none name in the piano world. The tone on the piano is beautiful. Rich and mellow with a medium touch. A very desirable instrument. The famous composer Strauss, once made this comment about Chappell Pianos: "Dear Sirs, I consider the tone of a remarkable sweet and sympathetic quality, and of musical sustaining power, and the touch is very responsive and light. A great first piano for my daughter but she has moved onto a weighted digital piano now that she is moving up her grades. Reluctantly selling as told it won't retain tuning because of age.
