7 year old Black Neutered Male Cat Free to Loving Home
Hello With a heavy heart, I am lookong>inong>g for a forever lovong>inong>g home for our black ong>maleong> ong>catong> Oscar.... but he is a big commitment! I rescued him as an abandoned 6 week ong>oldong> kitten March (see my profile picture, as Oscar as a kitten) He is pure black, with a small white patch on his chest and called Oscar Unfortunately he suffers from epilepsy and has been on mediong>catong>ion (phenobarbital tablets) for it song>inong>ce around 8 weeks ong>oldong>. His seizures vary from once a month, to once every 6 months... But they only last a mong>inong>ute and he is back to normal then! They look worse than they are! I say he is a commitment because He has to go to the vets every 6 months to get his bloods taken, so they can check his mediong>catong>ion levels etc and his liver and contong>inong>ue to get his mediong>catong>ion.... I have had him ong>inong>sured with petplan song>inong>ce day one, so I only pay that (about £13 a month) and the ong>yearong>ly excess fee of £75 (which is much cheaper than payong>inong>g vet fees and mediong>catong>ion fees) I would be happy to change the name of the ong>inong>surance over to the new owner, so they can contong>inong>ue with it if they prefer the cheaper option! He has tablets mornong>inong>g and night. We used to have a dog, who we unfortunately lost to cancer 2 ong>yearong>s ago, who he got on great with and we have another ong>catong>, feong>maleong>. They get on fong>inong>e but She maong>inong>ly goes outside. Oscar is an ong>ong>inong>doorong> only ong>catong>, due to his seizures. He has a run around ong>inong> the garden but I have to watch him ong>inong>case he gets out, as he would never survive if he were to have a seizure somewhere! I have a toddler boy and have just had a newborn baby boy, so It is gettong>inong>g a bit much for me now, copong>inong>g with a 3 ong>yearong> ong>oldong> child, a newborn baby and ong>catong>s! It would be fong>inong>e if Oscar was an outdoor ong>catong> but unfortunately that isn't the case and I can't give him the attention an ong>ong>inong>doorong> ong>catong> needs/likes. He is ong>neuteredong> and micro chipped and up to date on his vaccong>inong>ations (booster and ong>catong> leukaemia). He is fully litter traong>inong>ed but recently he has started to poo on the floor (even if I frequently change the litter tray)... I thong>inong>k he is gettong>inong>g frustrated and/or jealous of the new baby ong>inong> the house and not gettong>inong>g as much attention as he is used to because he never used to do this! Anyway.... I love him to pieces but I want him to be happy, loved and cared for and have the attention that he needs and deserves... I just can't do that at the moment, as I'm so busy with my little ones and tryong>inong>g to run our busong>inong>ess from home! I understand that he is a lot to take on and it would require someone willong>inong>g to have an ong>ong>inong>doorong> only ong>catong>. He is so lovong>inong>g and literally lies ong>inong> your arms like a baby! Genuong>inong>e committed people only please, who can offer a forever lovong>inong>g home! Please don't thong>inong>k I am a bad person (I feel it) I just want the Best for him! Any questions feel ong>freeong> to email me! Sorry for the long post, just wanted to ong>inong>clude everythong>inong>g! Thank you Read More
