Framus Texan. Considering how old this instrument is, it is in a very good and very playable condition. Frets are good and neck is pretty straight. It has an arched back. The truss rod cover is missing, two of the string ferrules are not original and headstock logo have faded. Pics shows no strings to the instrument but will come with a brand new set on sale. No case. Vintage s Framus parlour / slide guitar

Very cool guitar made in Germany in the s. The action is quite high after around the 5th fret, so I tend to keep it open tunings for slide playing. Loads of checking on the finish and there is even a bit of subtle flaming on the sides of this guitar. I assume it's either a spruce or birch top with maple back and sides but can't say for sure. Beautiful early 50s Framus archtop / jazz guitar

For sale: this gorgeous 50s jazz / archtop guitar by German make Framus. Elvis played one of these (granted, probably not this one!) I bought it for a touring project and can't afford the luxury of keeping it to be played once a year. I had it set up last year & cosmetically it's in fine shape for it's age. There are a few cracks in the varnish as I've tried to show in the photographs, but it was played live by my American colleague on two 20 date tours, the most recent of which I'm just back from, so I'm guessing it's very playable! ☺️ No electrics. My colleague used a clip on mic that easily fixes to the suspended bridge. All original parts. If you wanted to, I dare say you could source 'new-old' machine heads as I have done for my own 60s Hoyer. Comes in a hard case (not the original one for this guitar).
