It has a flexible arm so it can be positioned over your shoulder to light you for reading, or so you can magnify the material when sewing or doing cross stitch. I found this very helpful. There are four LED lights with the on off switch on the top of the magnifying lens area. It is in white and has a heavy base so it will not fall over. It is 240volt with a plug transformer to 12v 6W It is a straight bar to 28 inches, high then the flexible arm starts and is 45 inches high in total to the rectangle lens.
