7 hens, all born in roughly September . We are moving house and unfortunately cannot take them with us. Lovely hens, all very friendly and all laying. We usually get 6 or 7 eggs a day. They're looking a little scruffy at the moment as going through a moult but they are beautiful hens when they are all fresh with new feathers! Really content to be around other animals including cats and dogs (our cat regularly sits with them in their coop!!) 2 speckled 2 warrens 2 chalkhill blues (lay blue eggs) 1 rhode rock All vaccinated and healthy. WARREN HYBRID POINT OF LAY £14 each The warren pullet is an orangey brown bird that is seen everywhere. It is the original hybrid. It is a quiet bird with a lot of good qualities. Bred to lay like a machine, commercially it is kept for a period of months before it is replaced mainly because its egg quality deteriorates. In normal free range conditions they can continue laying for a number of years. In the second year of lay their egg shell can become thinner, and become misshaped. BCS a little low on ewes as our grazing hasn't been good this year, so good home with plenty of pasture much more important than price. Can deliver around the Midlands for fuel costs.
