Penny is an 8 year old TB mare. My daughter bought her in February this year after falling in love with her at first sight. The lady who we bought her from knew nothing about her past (strange) & said that she had done nothing with her? We have since found out that she spent 2 months in a race yard but she wasn't fast enough. She is a sweetheart - loving & kind. Can be mare-ish but hasn't a nasty bone in her body. She has become very attached to our other 2 ponies (2 old mares 20+ years each!!). She had a nasty accident 2 weeks after she came to us, involving barbed wire. 8 weeks of box rest & some scars on her back legs but no lasting damage and sound. Recently some con artist tried to buy her - lied about what they wanted to do with her, came to collect her, didn't tie her up on the lorry & she subsequently panicked & got herself stuck underneath the divider. Some scratches & lost hair, but no lasting damage. She is golden with the farrier, dentist & chiropractor. Brilliant in traffic. A friend of ours has cantered her around open fields & she was lovely. Penny wants to please & needs a kind, patient person to bring her on to her full potential. She is easy to do & lives out. She comes with bridle & rugs. No time wasters please, 5* home very important.
