Ecclesiastical Salvage
These items are hand carved oak from a church screen. We think they are 18th century, at the latest, possibly much older. We are not sure where they came from, possibly a village church in Derbyshire that was knocked down and replaced in the nineteenth century. We found them in our ancient barn when we bought our house built in . The pinnacles are unusual and quite decorative in their own right. We used to have them as ornaments on the stairway, but they do not suit our new home. The pinnacles measure 78 cms tall by 10.5 cms across at the base. The screen items measure 80 cms long and 49 cms long and 21 cms high. Ā£80 for the lot. Buyer collects from Malvern. Read More
