This is a classic 79' Strat & is a lovely guitar & I'll be sad to see this go. The previous owner had at one time got a professional guitar technician to remove the original scratchplate & pickups as one piece & put in a new scratchplate & pickups with an active setup. To do this he made a space for the battery on back of the guitar as you can see in the picture (bottom left on back of guitar). He then had it put back as it was with all the original scratchplate & pickups to sell so all is back to its original state. So apart from that its all original & sounds great & makes no difference to the sound but is why Im selling it for this price so is a bargain really for anyone who knows what they are getting. FENDER STRATOCASTER WITH ORIGINAL HARDSHELL CASE

DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: Guitar looks and plays great. It doesn't have a lot of hours on it. Everything is original. The guitar was purchased new at "House of Guitars" in Rochester NY. Original and current owner, blues musician and author Steve Chesborough (Click for info Steve Chesborough) switched to acoustic, fingerstyle playing decades ago, and the Strat has remained in it's case since then. The only flaw is a ding on the bottom that has been patched. The guitar weighs about 8 lbs 6 oz. The case is intact with all hinges and clasps in good working order. It is a bit scuffed up, but no serious damage. Please see pictures

A fantastic guitar in excellent condition that has hardly been used. Its been kept in a hard Fender case, in storage, for 18 years (hard case is included in the price). The guitar plays nicely with a low action and feels great. The pickups provide that classic yet modern strat tone. It was built at the Corona factory. It is more or less brand new and in excellent condition overall. There are no scratches on the body and the frets show no wear at all. The only imperfection is that some of the lacquer on the neck has come off - please see photos. It is in incredibly good shape for a guitar that’s 18 years old. Fender Standard Stratocaster and hard case Excellent condition with no dings or scratches to the body or neck. The guitar is correctly set up with strings. The frets are in great condition and the electrics are in full working order. The hard case is fully intact and all 3 catches are in normal working order. It does have some marks from normal use and area on the underside where the outer coating has started to peel a bit. This doesn't affect the case integrity.
