Fender Blacktop Precision Bass Guitar. This guitar is 2 years old and is in as new condition. There is no buckle rash and it has never been gigged only used for occasional studio work. My reason for selling is that I just don't pick it up any more and I'm not doing it justice. The hard case is included in this auction. The main thing you will notice about this guitar is that rather then the usual single coil pick-ups it has twin humbuckers making it, as Fender have stated, one of the loudest basses they have produced. A late '90s Squier P-bass Special. This features a standard split coil Precision Bass neck pickup and an extra Jazz bass bridge pickup. Plays nicely. Nice low action and a straight neck. It's been retrofitted with a genuine Fender neck pickup cover. This can easily be removed if needs be. Please note, there a tiny black mark on the back of the body. This is a production error. Fender American Hot Rod Precision bass guitar, , with Fender hard case.

Reluctant but I have 3 P/J's and this is the most valuable, and probably most saleable as they don't come up often. Black is the least common colour, Maple is the least common board. These Hot Rods were only made for 11 months from July before becoming the Hot Rodded, which ran for about 2 years. Lots of info on the balanced pick ups on BC & TB. Graphite rods, 41.6mm nut, 8lb 13oz, not original case, but expensive (and quite scuffed) Fender case included. A myriad of tiny surface scuffs on the back, that won't photograph, but for an 18 year old bass it's in good condition It's almost impossible for me to courier now, unless YOU want to sort out a Saturday collection. I would happily look at a trade for an American Jazz Deluxe dated to . I have £100 to add to the Hot Rod, to go to such a Jazz. Please remember the Deluxe Jazzes of that time were selling new for between £ so really shouldn't be considered the same value as the current Elite series! Here we have my Main Bass for sale, quite a lot of history as you'd expect from a bass this age but here goes original pick- guard broke tried a fix, see pic, didn't like it but found this 70,s one black that I liked.Bass has been sanded down so replaced decal on headstock, original pots, pick-ups and original Hum Guard underneath pick- guard.Has evidence of routing for an extra pick- up which has been filled.Also benefits from a re-fret as the old ones had had it, come with 70,s Hardcase and 60,s gig bag in vinyl from Covers New York company, this is what you,d buy if you couldn't afford a Tolex case.
