This has to be one of the cleanest & most playable Tele's we have had for some time. Her neck is just superb, very fast and comfy with the 'C' contour profile, that just sits right in the palm. Her sounds are pure Tele, crisp, clucky & as bright as you like, of rounded off to be smooth and sultry when required. For sale is this Fender USA American Vintage Hot Rod Telecaster, made in . These are no longer available to buy and are becoming more sought after. Cost c. £ new The guitar is in excellent condition, with only a couple of small marks on the body as shown in the photos. All original, except the stock Seymour Duncan Gibson Firebird type mini-humbucker neck pickup was removed by a previous owner and a high spec. Gibson Burstbucker installed. This replacement Gibson pickup alone is worth c.£100. The original mini-humbucker is also provided, it's in the case. Comes complete with original hard case in almost unmarked condition, plus all hangtags, key for case etc. that originally came with the guitar. This guitar has a fantastic, quite large (but not full baseball bat) neck, and the frets are in excellent shape with hardly any wear. All switches & pots function correctly with no buzzes or scratches. Plays beautifully, quite powerful gutsy vintage tone from both pickups, which are quite hot. The current neck humbucker blends beautifully with the bridge pickup in the middle position, and both pickups sound great pon their own. Has had a recent pro-setup with 10s, and is solid as a rock. Feel free to try it out, my amp is a Laney VC15 small valve amp, or bring your own. Fender California Series Telecaster, sunburst ().

Purchased new by my friend in . It has a sunburst alder body, maple neck and 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets. These guitars are marked 'Made in USA', but are actually part made in Mexico - the original hang tag is included which describes this. The guitar is in good condition, but has acquired a couple of small marks over the last 20 years (very small chips to the edge of the body). Frets are in good condition, with only light wear. The guitar has been slightly modified and is now routed HSH with a rebate in the control cavity so it will easily accommodate a Superswitch. The guitar has screening on the internal cavities and now has a chrome Gotoh GTC301 humbucker bridge. The control plate and Kluson style tuners are also by Gotoh (tuners marked 'Japan' on the inside). Pickups are a chrome Kent Armstrong/Sky humbucker sized P90 in the bridge, a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the middle and a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 in the neck. It's wired up with a 5-way Superswitch and CTS pots and provides selections like a Strat except the middle position is bridge+neck. It sounds superb and the bridge P90 gives it a thicker, hotter sound without being overpowering. It's a great guitar as it is, but it also comes with two spare pickguards (humbucker, and single coil+humbucker) so it's easy to mod.
