Selling my black Fender Aerodyne 4 string Bass Guitar. Currently retailing new around £. The bass sounds brilliant, long sustain and cracking tone, which can be changed via the tone control knobs. It has a few scuffs and scrapes from gigging and it comes with a fender gig bag which also has a torn front pocket. £700 or nearest offer. Fender Aerodyne Bass

As I recently acquired a Fender Jazz US Standard I have decided to sell my Aerodyne Jazz Bass. Crafted in Japan with a Q serial number it is dated . The Bass is in good condition for its age although there are some little dents and surface scratches on the body that cannot really be picked up on the photos or are really noticeable unless close up. There was a chip on the rear top edge that could not, in any event, be seen from the front and now I have camouflaged it with black nail varnish is hardly noticeable. I have tried to photograph it. The neck is typically jazz width and is very fast. There is very little, if any, fret wear as when I bought the bass the strings were black nylon covered and I believe this has mitigated any wear. However I recently put on some D’Addario Pro Steels, which I prefer. With a mix of precision and jazz pickups you have the best of both worlds with precision sounds and with the bridge pick up that jazz rasp. Light weight at 8.6Ib and very comfortable to play. Currently priced new at around £ I am asking for £450 which is less than the going rate or a trade for a Gibson EB . There are some plectrum marks and light scratches on the front of the bass but overall it is in very good condition. Fender American Hot Rod Precision bass guitar, , with Fender hard case.

Reluctant but I have 3 P/J's and this is the most valuable, and probably most saleable as they don't come up often. Black is the least common colour, Maple is the least common board. These Hot Rods were only made for 11 months from July before becoming the Hot Rodded, which ran for about 2 years. Lots of info on the balanced pick ups on BC & TB. Graphite rods, 41.6mm nut, 8lb 13oz, not original case, but expensive (and quite scuffed) Fender case included. A myriad of tiny surface scuffs on the back, that won't photograph, but for an 18 year old bass it's in good condition It's almost impossible for me to courier now, unless YOU want to sort out a Saturday collection. I would happily look at a trade for an American Jazz Deluxe dated to . I have £100 to add to the Hot Rod, to go to such a Jazz. Please remember the Deluxe Jazzes of that time were selling new for between £ so really shouldn't be considered the same value as the current Elite series!
