Sadly selling our lovely working hunter saddle built on the Henley tree by farrington for the saddle consultant. The henley tree is the flatter of the 2 trees farrington use for their working hunter saddles, this one has had extra girth straps added for maximum fitting options and has 5 girthstraps., wide fit but can be adjusted by any saddler one size each way. Saddle is in excellent condition as was used as a dressage saddle on our event horse who is now getting a proper dressage saddle ! Details about   Farrington Working Hunter Saddle 17" Med

Farrington Working Hunter Saddle. 17" seat. Medium width, (see photos with tape to make your own judgement of D-D). Black leather. Very good condition saddle. Comfortable seat. Tree is sound, flocking even, no fading of colour in the leather.  All girth straps are sound with no stretching or pulling of holes and no cracks or splits. Minimally marked where stirrup leathers have rubbed, as you would expect from a used saddle. Has girth buckle guards on both sides, just removed one for purpose of photos. There are two minuscule marks on the seat - more indentations than anything - not punctured at all and no detriment to the saddle, (see photos). Brass D-rings. No rusting to stirrup bars. Been used on a 16.2 ISH, sadly matured out of it. Willing to bring to try on within 20 miles of Junction 31 M1. Delivery by courier £20, or can collect in person, or will deliver within 20 miles.

Farrington 18" dark brown working hunter saddle /VSD

A beautiful and comfortable saddle in excellent condition with no scratches or damage, just the normal wear on the skirt where the leathers have rubbed a little. The saddle has been regularly maintained and the flocking is fine. It was bought new but has had very little use due to my horses ongoing lameness issues. He won his dressage class (74%) out of 16 at his first ever show and his first time in an indoor arena. He recently went to Usk Show where he behaved beautifully and took everything in his stride. As well as M&M classes he will plait up nicely for show hunter classes and will make a lovely first ridden pony. He has been ridden by myself and a 12 year old while with me and has always behaved impeccably. He was also ridden by children in his last home. He doesn't buck or rear, kick or bite and is a genuine quiet pony to be around on the ground and under saddle. He has loose schooled over 2ft9 with plenty of scope to go higher. Has just started jumping undersaddle and is showing real potential and willingness. He will be going to more shows, XC schooling and will go hunting if he is still here when the season starts and his price will evidently increase. He is a responsive ride, listens to the leg and vocal aids but is in no way sharp or sensitive. He will be great for pony club and will be a great all rounder. Hacks alone and in company with no problems. Went to the woods recently with his ex racer friend and was fantastic! Up and down steps, opening gates, through water, down steep slopes, the lot! He will make a lovely hunting pony. Good to load, travel, tack up, good with farrier, good to bath ect. His price will increase the more he does.
