Blackwoodland Jive- Registered Irish Grade 1 Connemara gelding by I Love You Melody out of Blackwoodland Joy. No vices. Very typey- judges love him. Jive has striking looks and wonderful movement. He came here from Ireland and lived in his previous home for 5 years. He has proved to be a cracking competition pony with great results and rosettes every time out. He has won and been placed in dressage, ODE, arena eventing, M & M showing and WP, performance pony, SJ, Show x, HT and CT. Jive is particularly good at dressage and working towards medium. He never comes home without a ribbon. Jive hunts beautifully and has hacked out with three generations in his previous family and ours around a busy village and fields both alone and in company. Snaffle mouth in all disciplines though goes up a gear XC. Jive is a real people pony. Friendly, inquisitive and intelligent. Loves a fuss but doesn't like being sprayed with fly spray! Excellent to clip and catch, dentist, shoe and box with no vices, health issues, melanomas etc. Jive would suit a competition/pony/riding club home with a confident child or small adult. Pony care opportunity available. Suitable for any child who dreams of owning their own pony! I have available space for one or two children from 8 years old to come to my family stables located near Sandbach on a Sunday morning to gain experience in pony care (more days available in school holidays). This would suit children wanting to visit each week and progress. We have 6 ponies including a 38 inch shetland pony, a mini cob ride and drive, and our top Welsh showing pony. The mornings will consist of learning all aspects of care including mucking out stables, filling haynets, preparing feeds, poo picking paddocks, identifying hazards, brushing the ponies, bathing the ponies in summer, any equine first aid that may arise, preparing for competitions. There will also be a fabulous opportunity if the child is confident enough to take Nelly the shetland pony to novelty competitions in the summer (parent would need to provide showing clothes for child and pay for entry fee which isn't expensive), and also to go on carriage drives with our mini cob Jimmy! The child could progress to the standard of showing our serious contenders! Riding could be available at own risk (although the ponies are perfectly safe I am not a riding school). This opportunity will basically be like part loaning the pony but with my supervision and guidance. I am a yard manager of horses belonging to an Olympic equestrian rider and his clients. I have high standards of care which will be taught to ensure that the children understand what is required when owning and caring for a pony. So here's Milton a gorgeous 14.2hh Welsh Sec D 6yr Gelding. We have had him since he was 10mths old and he is such a lovely pony to own. Milton is just brilliant you could just pop a small little child on him and he would be fine. Extremely safe to hack and he loves cows which is very unusual to most ponies, brilliant with machinery etc. He has attended his first dressage test not long ago and he was amazing, and really good comments by the judges. Milton has show jumped up to 2ft 6 with ease to go higher and I'm taking him XC schooling at MPEC so will up date on how he gets on. I trust Milton so much and it will be sad to see him go but a good home is a MUST for him only selling as I'm looking for something a bit bigger. So would consider Part ex with something between hh and 5-8yrs, something that has done some things like SJ, XC but a event project.
