This is a really beautiful young pure-bred Barnevelder cockerel, 9 months old. The photo doesn't really do justice to the wonderful colours in his plumage. I bred him myself, and so am very sad to lose him, but I have only a small garden and so MUST - very regretfully - downsize my little flock. His name is Tea and he is very tame and friendly - eats out of your hand. He is attentive and solicitous to his hens, which is the best thing about a cockerel - they will keep hens together and watch over them which deters some predators. He is very healthy, has been regularly wormed, and is used to a free-range life. He would be an ideal husband to someone's flock of hens, but to a good free-range home only please - ideally a farmyard or meadows. Ad ID:
