Oscar is an 8YO Strawberry Roan, 14.3hh, Welsh Cross Gelding. Through no fault of this own, Oscar has not been pushed to his full potential this year and as a result he is up for sale and a 5* home is the most important thing required for him. Oscar has been with me for four years and has competed at regular shows. He has three lovely paces and a strong jump however, he requires someone who is able to push him to his full potential as I do not have the time. He has competed in and around the Sheffield area for a local riding society and has always placed. Oscar has taken part in Show Jumping, Cross Country and Dressage. As a pair we also took part in Pony Club for a year and did mostly flat work workshops where he always excelled. Oscar is not a novice ride as he requires someone with experience to be able to point him in the right direction. Oscar also is willing to hack alone and in company. Oscar has a half set of shoes and is not a problem with the farrier, dentist or vet. He is currently up to date with shoes, vaccinations and the dentist. Oscar is not nasty or silly however can sometimes be head strong on the ground, though this is in working progress and his manners are becoming better. He does not barge from stables or paddocks and is good to load, groom and bath. I have previously had Oscar clipped but can sometimes be nervous. He is very eager to please, he has never bucked, reared or bolted with me. He has been previously based on a working farm and was around tractors all the time. He requires someone with time and attention to be able to build a relationship with him. He is willing to work and has proved this within the four years of me having him. Very sad sale due to lack of time, long term home is far more important than price. He requires someone with experience and knowledge and patience to help push him to further develop his abilities and lead him forward. He can no longer be ridden however this does not effect him in the field with others.He is a very loving boy who loves nothing more than being groomed and fussed. He will live out with either mares or geldings, hes a go doer living on grass in the summer and topped up in the winter with hey or haylage. He needs more attention than we can give him, including walks and other stimulation which I struggle to do due to health reasons. He is healthy and up to date with all necessities at the vet. Kennel cough, booster, flea treatment and wormed. Microchipped. Neutered. Reluctant but necessary re home. Loves tummy rubs and stealing your warm spot on the settee, grumbles when you steal it back. Hi guys, I’m absolutely gutted to say that I need to rehome my frenchie. Over the past couple of weeks he has been showing some strange behaviour around my daughter. she is far too much for him to cope with, she’s so full on and this morning he ended up trying to nip her toe. As I’m sure you will understand, this just cannot happen. I cannot run the risk of anything like this happening with her again and it wouldn’t be fair or practical to keep them separated at all times.
