Buddy is easy to catch, clip, load, farrier. He has been barefoot and 100% sound since I started training him - despite on and off road hacking, jumping, etc. He thrives living out and has kept weight through winter. He is less happy living in and will box walk. He hacks alone and in company and has led children's hacks. 16hh bay gelding ex racehorse for sale £600

I am selling my 16hh, 11 year old bay gelding. He was a successful sprinter. I have had him for just over a year now. He is a real gentleman on the ground with a lovely temperament, and is very easy to do. He is a blank canvas so would make someone a lovely project. I have only hacked him around the lanes but as he is such an easy horse to do, I think he would be willing to try something new. He is good to shoe, clip, catch etc and will hack alone but prefers company as used to being out with a string of horses when in training. He is 100% in traffic, lorries, tractors etc. When hacking alone, he does tend to neigh for the first few minutes but soon settles down, and for this reason I would prefer him to go to someone who has experience of thoroughbreds. He is up to date with his vaccinations and worming. I haven't ridden him for a couple of months now so he has had his shoes removed, so will be sold from the field. For Sale, 15.2hh 5year old ex racehorse gelding

Lovely TB gelding for sale, due to change in circumstances and lack of time. I got Hugo straight out of training in October, and gave him most of the winter off, bringing him back into work Feb time. He's been ridden in the school, and hacks out alone and in company. He was a flatracer but I've popped him over small cross poles with no argument. He is generally a very easy going boy. Unfortunately, I have been unwell the last 2 months so he has just been stuck out in the field and not worked. Being a TB, he can be sharp and put in a buck in canter but it's never unseated me. He did retire from racing after having bone chips removed from his knees and he has a couple of bumps on his rear fetlocks but he's never been unsound. Sired by Fasliyev (USA) out of Alazima (USA), Mustard is strikingly beautiful, has fabulous conformation and is a lovely, good-natured person. As a 3 year old he had a short racing career on the flat around all-weather tracks (race record available) and with his previous owner he qualified for the National ex-racehorse, in-hand showing championships at Newmarket racecourse. Mustard has been part of our family for 6 years during which time we have brought him on slowly introducing him to all Pony Club activities. He is a keen allrounder, responds well to work, is willing to please and enjoys jumping, taking ditches, trakheners, skinnies and water in his stride. He hacks alone or in company and will lead or be led. He enjoys hunting and is used to the wide-open spaces of the Black Mountains. He has a fast gallop but is controllable and he has impeccable manners on the ground being good to clip, shoe, travel, groom, wash etc. All three of our daughters are now working or at university and as Mustard is in his prime, and has so much more to give, he is looking for a home where he can continue his education. He is easy to manage and with us he spends half his time in the stable and half turned out. If he spends too much time in he has a tendency to box walk but with good stable practice and attention to feeding routines this can be easily controlled. He loves company, both human and equine and at his new home he will need equine company.

We bought her in summer but we have to sell through no fault of her own, we simply don't have enough time for her.She has bad habits, and needs work on and we simply don't have the time for her. We bought her straight from a racing yard, but we didn't realise just how little training she has had in terms of manners and riding. She is a sweet girl who loves her work, has a huge amount of potential, and is very happy! She is broken, but very green in the school, and a bit excitable on hacks but otherwise very good, so could be a hacking horse, depending on what you are looking for. SHE CAN NEVER BE RACED AGAIN as she when we bought her we signed a contract to say she wouldn't, and she was too slow anyways:)! She would suit someone looking for a project that has time and commitment. But as I said before, if you are an experienced rider looking for a fun hacking horse she would also suit that. As far as I know she is good to travel, in the stable she is ok if she can see a friend and has some hay but not great with the farrier! Just needs to be worked on. She has come a long way, but we again just don't have the time. We love her to bits and it will break our heart to see her go but we know we aren't what she needs. She is turned out 24/7 with a rug, no feed yet but will be having some twice everyday soon.
