Here I have my beloved Epiphone Tobius (Toby) Deluxe 4 bass guitar for sale in 100% perfect working order. I have recently tightened the pots, which is the only work I have had to do on it in 2 years. Some cosmetic damage to the lower side of the body, which is shown in the pictures. 24 frets, master volume, master tone, balance and an active signal boost circuit. The ASB is absolutely fantastic and I rarely play with it not engaged to some degree. I learned to play bass on this guitar and it has served me faithfully. It looks fantastic (the dinks are barely noticeable) and sounds great too. A wonderful instrument to learn on. Its comfortable body shape and superb feel make the Toby Deluxe V perfect for virtually any player and any style. An Active Tonexpressor Bass Enhancement Control allows for creative blends and fine adjustments to cut through dense mixes. The Toby Deluxe's most legendary feature is its hard maple Tobias asymmetrical neck profile which is a bolt-on design with recessed bolts and washers for easy adjustments. Tobias basses were among the first to feature an asymmetrical neck, a design where the neck is thinner on the lower side than on the upper side. The asymmetric back shape feels less bulky than standard bass necks allowing for maximum hand comfort. While these Satin finished necks might feel thinner, there is still sufficient thickness on the upper side to provide for excellent strength, stability and--best of all--deep, rich tone. Your thumb will find easy reference points as your hand glides up and down the fretboard.
