This fun little dinghy was purchased by us second hand for our son, who has now grown to 6'1" and wants to take on something bigger. The Byte is very similar to the Laser, (designed by the same person) but smaller and lighter and with the mainsheet and traveller in the middle of the boat, hence easier to sail. The dinghy is in good condition, with only a few scuffs and some minor gel coat repairs to the underside collected over the years. The mainsheet blocks and rope are new and all rigging is present and correct. Not shown in the photos due to the windy conditions but included is the sail and batons. The folding launching trolley is also available. The great thing about the Byte is that the hull is 3.7m long and weighs around 45 kg, so is easily lifted upside down onto the roof rack of a standard car (my wife takes the sharp end and I take the blunt end). The trolley then goes upside down on the hull and the boom and mast sections can be tied alongside the hull. The whole thing may then be secured with ratchet straps and bungees. We have had great fun with the Byte in a variety of locations, including taking it to the West coast of Ireland on the roof of the car for the last few summer holidays. This would be the ideal purchase for a young teenager who is looking for a bit of excitement. I have been able to sail it 2 up with my son - it is a bit of a squeeze but perfectly possible for a bit of basic instruction or if a couple of smaller sailors want to mess around on it together once they know what they are doing. Used Enterprise Sailing Dinghy Been stored outside for last two years but under the cover for both. Boat comes with everything needed to sail it. This includes: main sail, jib, both sets of sheets, rudder and tiller extension, along with road trailer and a launching trolley which sits secured on to the road trailer when towing. Enterprise Sailing Dinghy- GRP fibreglass with fibreglass bow and side decks. Dinghy comes with aluminium mast, Rapide road/launch trailer and Team Purple over boom cover. All sheets, stays and equipment is present including paddle, bailer and burgee. The sails include a small jib, a bigger jib (genoa) and a main sail with battens. There are in addition a couple of older sails. The jib and the main are "Jack Holt Powersails" and the main has the number E K. The Dinghy has not been sailed for 3 years and has been stored at the side of the house - outside, but in a sheltered location. It probably needs a wee bit of TLC - for example the side and bow deck could do with paint being touched up. I would guess from the sails and the Jack Holt sticker on the mast that the Dinghy is originally from London, but I bought it and sailed it in Scotland. I brought it to Largs when I moved there with the intention of continuing to sail, but my son has moved away, I am getting older and I have decided that it is not going to happen. It is therefore best to sell the Dinghy to someone that might be able to make use of it. If you have any further questions please email me.
