  Vintage Map Route Measure in Case.

  Welcome to my auction for this rather novel, and quite useful, Vintage Tourist Souvenir Map Route Measure in Leather Case From Boscastle. It is in excellent used condition, actually showing no signs of wear. Made from hard cream plastic, it measures 3.5 inches long, and is made up of a single magnifying glass in the plastic shell, and below that, on one side a hand adjusted meter for 1cm - 1km, and when turned over, 1 inch - 1 mile, with the adjusting wheel at the bottom, for moving by hand, and also running on a map to be able to get the distance from one point to another. It is a fantastic little tool, has a registered design number, and comes in it's original little leather case, which is embossed in gilt with a small imp illustration, with 'Route Measure' above, and 'Boscastle' below. It is in perfect condition, though there is a small line of dry glue to the edge of the glass where it was originally put in, but mis-aligned, though this is not damage, but a small imperfection that does not interfere in any way with the tool or how it looks. Note to buyers: When Listing items I try to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions. That said, it may be that I have missed something that is of valid importance. If this is the case, please get in touch as soon as possible, so as to rectify the issue in a timely  and mutually satisfactory manner.
