FluffyTeddy - loving young persian
FluffyTeddybear- being saved from Middle East - flying to London Dec. ADOPTION FEE WILL BE £450 - SEE WHY THEY COST SO MUCH TO SAVE BELOW. For overseas cats, these take 3 months to prepare to come to us in England, so it does mean that we know of cats coming some months in advance. When we are confident they should be coming, we will put possible to reserve at the top of their description. If this is not detailed - please email us for a form and we will put you on our email list and contact you when we think they are being booked to come or in the next group. THIS CAT CAN BE RESERVED - SEE DETAIL BELOW. PLEASE READ ALL OF BELOW BEFORE ASKING FOR AN ADOPTION FORM. a young Persian gloriously gorgeous, affectionate, loving! Great with other cats and dogs. Aged 1-2. Children 6+ Happy indoor only, but may adjust to some safe outdoor access with time (no busy roads -we check all applications). RESERVATION DETAILS If you reserve, we will NOT have resource to send weekly updates, as we in England and team in Qatar are all unpaid volunteers and we don't have enough helpers to do admin already, and we cant spend time needed for our cats in our care or online helpers being diverted to just sending more piccies etc etc - we will try and do some updates on facebook page when we can. If you reserve to come, it IS £100 for overseas cats. This is deducted from adoption feee at adoption - so you don't pay reservation on top of adoption fee. If they won't be coming for any reason, this will be refunded (some fosterers in Qatar may decide to adopt), If. If they are delayed more than 6 weeks from date estimated they should come, we will refund reservation. Some get delayed as the rabies vaccination and testing can be delayed or a flight partner, if find a health issue not already known you will have an option to have reservation refunded. WHY ARE AOPTION FEES FOR OVERSEAS CATS HIGHER? You are paying a higher adoption fee to allow us to get these cats safe. A lot have little hope there - with 55 degree heat in Summer and 80% humidity. They can be dumped or abused/injured like Pickles (see our happy ever after stories). Please bear in mind that transport alone can cost up to £350 if flown to Europe and up to £550 if flown to London). We don't have legacies, we don't get grants, adoption fees are our main form of funding. We fund the full transport and all costs after that (vet, food, care, etc) where we can, so the Qatar friends can focus on the preparation costs, vet work their side and care costs, they vaccinate and neuter too (neuter if only done later where the cat may be young at travel and we have agreed will be done at Strawberry or if the cat needs more vet work/operations which is why Strawberry are saving. VET WORK All cats from Strawberry rescue are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and wormed, groomed, and claws trimmed. Also, if needed, blood tests, dentals, etc. They get adopted with 5 weeks free insurance plus a cat bed or stand usually, all cats come with a litter tray, a s we don't re use any. Also get adoption and integration support. Cats can come back to us at any time in their lives, but adoption fees are not refunded, but it does mean we will take back old etc of you cant keep. FOR OVERSEAS ONES - ADDITIONALLY THEY ARE RABIES PREPARED AND DO NOT NEED QUARANTINE! THEY ARE REHOMED ONCE ARRIVED AND VET CHECKED AT OUR VET. ANY VET WORK OUR VET FEELS MUST BE DONE BEFORE REHOME, WE GET DONE. EXTRA VET WORK NOT EXPECTED MAY INCREASE ADOPTION FEES (BUT YOU WOULD BE OFFERED RESERVATION FEE BACK - SO DONT WORRY), FIV/FELV TESTED BEFORE PREPARED IN QATAR (THIS MEANS THEY ARE LOWER RISK TO BE +VE AND WE DONT KNOW) BUT WE DO NOT REPEAT THIS ONCE IN UK UNLESS SEEM POORLY, IF YOU WANT IT REPEATED, YOU CAN DO THIS AFTER ADOPTION OR FUND TO STRAWBERRY TO DO (NOT REFUNDED AS ONCE IT IS DONE - THE COST IS INCURRED!) BUT WOULD MEAN YOU CAN HAVE RESERVATION FEE BACK IF +VE AND THIS WAS NOT KNOWN AT RESERVATION. We have volunteer/s to take cats to adopter (adopter funds petrol). What are our aims? We try to help as many pedigree-looking cat needing our help as we can with our limited space and funds. We try to support people who may not be coping to give up their pedigree-looking cats earlier, and not feel that they have failed the cat. We are happy to help and will not judge you. We are open and honest about information or issues a cat may have (that we are aware of – they are living beings and we may not know everything from their time before us or may not have a full history). To take back any Strawberry cat at any time in it’s life. To care and love every single cat as we love our own. To keep a cat as long as they need in our home or a fosterer’s home until they are ready for rehoming. To nurse and tend to cats who are terminally ill, for as long as we and our vet feels they are not suffering. We may place these in a forever foster if that is the right thing for that cat. Read More
