JAHM Guitar Academy is an expanding school offering music lessons in clients' homes. We arelooking for an experienced and talented guitar teacher to join our growing team and take on students in the Basingstoke locality for a few hours a week. Support from JAHM's highly experienced lead guitar teacher. Flexibility to specify times and days that you are available each term. Strict cancellation policy ensuring that your pay is protected should clients cancel their lessons. Freedom from diary organisation and collection of fees, which is carried out by JAHM 's administrator. Person specification: The teacher will required to have use of their own car, insured for business purposes, as lessons will take place in clients' homes in and around the Basingstoke area. Relevant qualifications and grades are desirable but not essential, and an ability to demonstrate your level of experience is more important. The teacher will be expected to devise and deliver lesson plans to students of all ages and abilities, and a high level of music theory is required. Ability to teach in a variety of styles and genres is beneficial, however all areas of expertise will be considered. Ability to support students through Rock School or RGT grades 1-8 is required, although support can be provided with this. This post is advertised with a view for the successful applicant to begin after the October half-term. This post would suit somebody who is able to commit to several hours a week in the evenings and at weekends initially (this is likely to increase after Christmas). The post will be held on a contract renewable each half-term, with the exact number of hours to be confirmed 2 weeks prior to the beginning of each half-term. A minimum amount of hours is not guaranteed. The suitable candidate will be self-employed for tax and national insurance purposes, and will be expected to be able to demonstrate that they are filing their own tax returns to HMRC. As such the candidate will be paid for hours worked and invoiced only. Applicants to apply with covering letter and CV.
