This is not your average "Balinese" carving turned out by the thousands but a genuine piece that will only appreciate in value. Ebony Wood Carving - Njana Tilem - Bali - Indonesia

This is a superb example of a heavy (1.5kg) ebony wood carving, produced by the highly regarded studio, Njana Tilem, in Mas, a village on the island of Bali in Indonesia. The craftmanship is quite breathtaking and this piece would have been carved by one of the students of Ida Bagus Njana Tilem, the founder of the studio. It depicts an elderly man in wearing traditional Balinese headgear and is in perfect, undamaged condition.
