Hi, I am Chris Welch and have been a piano tuner and restorer around Emsworth for 35 years. This is a great little 6 octave F to F minipiano. Lovely treble tone. This IS a Papps but not the horrible first world war one. And this is NOT the horrible Eavestaff mini piano tuners cannot tune easily. This has all the BEST features of the s art deco minipiano craze, but by the 40s they had worked it all out properly. 6 octave pianos are for those that have little space and will compromise the rarely played very top and bottom notes. In all other respects this is a modern overstrung underdamper. Owner has moved and looked after it diligently so that it's french polished case is almost perfect having only slight scratching inside the rim of the fallboard lid. Comes with my 1 year warranty. Papps were a Portsmouth piano makers that invented the worst piano to repair (not this one) and the best invention for tuners ever, the Papps wedge, which all tuners everywhere use to isolate strings while tuning. Apart from being a compact piano, this one has all the same build that you will see on every modern piano. The treble tone is truly lovely and clear. The bass on these just is what it is with compact strings, but tunes are where small pianos are at, like Elton John or Bach or Coldplay. Delivery costs £15 locally but distances can be quoted for. Comes with my 1 year parts and labour warranty, and like any piano will need tuning after 6 weeks settling in the new home. Ad ID:

Eavestaff Mini Piano Very dark brown/black wooden piano with music stand. The whole thing folds away neat and tidy including the music stand - wonderful if you're tight on space. In average-poor condition, there are a couple of keys loose (could be stuck back down I presume). The piano does need a bit of TLC and will definitely need retuning but would be ideal for someone's first piano. It is heavy but manageable for 2 people to move, would fit into an estate car with the back seats flattened down.
