DC07 Animal Not working properly, but almost. Before you give up, you may be interested to learn why. This was given to me because I mend things as a challenge. I have dismantled the cleaner and found that there appears to be nothing wrong. It has plenty of power and suction. All seems okay. BUT, the suction action is not as strong as it should be when doing carpets. It is correctly strong when using the nozzle. I was advised to check the drive band cos if broke this can be replaced for a couple of quid. I did and it is fine. The clutch belt however is stretched and nowhere near as tight as it appears on video repair clips - I think that this is the problem. It can be replaced for new at about £16 and relatively simple to do - following youtube guides. The plastic plate on the base of the cleaner is broken and this part can be sourced for under £20. It will work without replacing this part, but...... up to you. I'm confident that there is little else wrong this machine. I have no interest in getting this machine going properly cos we have another one cluttering up the place. If you are interested, have good look at the pictures. Dyson animal vacuum in good working order. The purple has faded and has few scratch's on the lower sides but all still works and has all the attachments as pictured. I've taken it apart, cleaned and tested so ready for a new home. Any other details I would recommend Google it. If you wish to test it, I'm quite happy for you to hoover my house!
