Dun Irish Draught/ Heavy Horse

I’m looking for a specific type of horse to buy, I am a massive lover of Duns and Buckskins but specifically the heavier/Cobish types are my favourite and was wondering if anyone could assist in someway whether you know someone who is selling one or are selling one yourself. Is there any chance that anyone could help me find me a Dun/Buckskin, preferably 16hh+, Irish Draught, Cob/ish heavy type horse, that would be most appreciated, As I am currently looking to purchase a horse of that type and colour. I am looking for a gelding but I would also settle for a mare as long as the horse is nice natured with no vices (ie Rearing, Bolting, Napping etc) Read more

Grey Irish Sport Horse & Irish Draught Eventer / Hunter

Just putting the feelers out for 2 beautiful irish mares I have. Full green books, Both were bought from Ireland wild by myself, both are rising 4 come jan. the dappled grey Draught is pure and stands at 16.2 to make 17hh+ she is backed walk trot canter in the school and on a hack, good to load, travel and with traffic, pops a fence (scopey) would make a fantastic hunter, 2 sisters in Ireland are huntsmans horses. Ard Grandpa lines. The irish sports horse is currently just over 16hh, to make 16.2 clover hill lines, lightly backed walk trot canter on a hack and turned away, good to load catch travel fine with traffic not as far on as the draught though, will make an eventer/hunter. They are both currently turned out to grow abit more over winter. Plan was to sell them next summer, currently in winter woolies, but I would sell from field and someone may get a bargain for what they are going to become! Beautiful 16h Irish draught x thoroughbred 23yrs old but still full of life excellent manners both in and out if the stable excellent in traffic. He has done most events throughout the years but due to his age and very mild arthritis in his front legs he now just needs a loving home and someone who enjoys hacking out. Hi. I have a 17.hh Irish draught x sports horse. The reason me selling him is due to me having bad health issues I need something smaller, he needs an experienced rider on his back, he does kick out when girthing up with his right back leg. He does buck with excitement nothing to be nasty. He's got 3 lovely paces he would excel in dressage with a push, he goes hunting, fun rides, beach rides, he's good at jumping, never fails to come back with no ribbons he's always got one to always please you, however he is a very demanding horse and is very stubborn. He will go out on his own but will sometimes pull a fuss, he's perfect in company. This is a very sad sale as he's too big for me! 17h bay Irish draught sports horse mate she is 6 yo she needs a lot off work really we bought her about 2 years ago as a project we had her upto the stage we could get her all tacked up and ridden in paddock on lead but due to family comitments this was as far we got so she has done nothing for about 18 months. Lenny is a chestnut gelding and currently standing just under 16.2hh He has a great character and really enjoys having a fuss. He is easy to handle on the ground and when ridden, will hack out alone and in company. Good to catch, worm and clip. He is barefoot and trimmed regularly.
