Lovely Solid Oak Edwardian/'s Eccentric 5 Tier Folding Cake Stand/Dumb Waiter. One Family Owned.

A Lovely Tall Solid Oak Edwardian Or 's Eccentric 5-Tier Folding Cake Stand / Dumb Waiter. This belonged to my late mother from the mid-'s and to her parents for many years before that, so whoever buys this will really only be the second owner. It is in absolutely beautiful condition with just a few very minor signs of use but far fewer than you would normally see on a near-100 year old piece. There is no damage whatsoever, nor repairs or replacement parts and I will give it a good polish with beeswax during the course of the listing. I have listed it at £75 due to its condition and unusual design but we are open to sensible near offers. I've never seen another eccentric one before ie. 3 leaves on one side and 2 on the other. It is a very versatile item and could be used either as originally intended or to display houseplants or ornaments. It is also of a very useful size at 36 inches high, 17 inches wide and 10 inches deep when opened out. Each leaf is approximately 9 inches wide, so will easily take a side plate. As you will see from the photographs, it is very compact when folded, so can be stored away quite easily, although I suspect that the new owner would tend to leave it in the unfolded position.
