Early 20th Century Writing Desk Art Deco style Please see an inherited item that I do not wish to see in a skip. The pull down front to make the desk is beautifully marked veneer, unfortunately slightly twisted at one side, The fittings are brass. As you can see there is some distress and wear throughout, one rear leg has splitat top, there is a severe mark on one drawer front and the top has some water marks, the top is a solid piece so would rub down. In the right hands this writing desk would restore nicely.

Lovely vintage (walnut??) drop leaf writing desk

This is a lovely vintage, heavy, small desk possibly walnut? Approx " wide, 18" deep at widest point and " high. It has 2 pull out fittings to rest the lid on. The lid and a drawer have keys to lock. Inside has a selection of small drawers for storage. It does have some marks commensurate with age - see photo - but overall it is in very good condition. Vintage oak Bureau / writing desk with drop down leaf, This lovely elegant design desk is in very good condition.I have no idea of the age of this but assume it dates from at least the s / s as it has been in the family for as long as I can remember. But please make up your own mind about the age based on the photos and more experience than I have! We are selling this only as part of necessary down-sizing.It has been a treasured piece of family furniture and has been well looked after and regularly cleaned with furniture polish. As far as I can tell the wood is oak / oak veneer, but the back panel is just regular stained plywood.The exterior is largely unmarked - see photos. The lid is very slightly warped in that the top left corner doesn't sit as tight against the frame as the rest - see photo 3. The interior of the desk top has signs of use as would be expected (see photos), but the exterior is in very good clean, undamaged condition. The hinges and stays are in good working order. There are two original keys for the brass lock in the lid which also works perfectly.The drawers pull in and out smoothly.
