Old dresser bought by my mum in Devon over 60 years ago, and was old then. Height 77 inches, width 4ft and front to back about 17 inches. Hardboard replacement back to cupboard, one drawer knob broken many years ago but works on other one, very attractive knobs. Has chips and dents with age, small bit of top edging needs gluing, Comes in two halves for transport. Delivery very local can be arranged for £10 towards time and fuel as my daughter has a van, you would have to help carry though. Read more

Early 19th Century Irish Fiddle Front Dresser In Original Paint

An exceptional example of a fiddle front Irish dresser in original paint. Pine construction with three shelves (plate bar to the top shelf) over two drawers atop an open fiddle base. Stylistically dressers of this nature were to be found in the north and west of the island, this one hailing from the latter. They played an important part in the furnishing and everyday life of the Irish household. Claudia Kinmonth outlines in her book ‘Irish Country Furniture ’, page 99, “The dresser is unique amongst the furniture of the Irish kitchen because of its primary role as an aesthetic and decorative focal point, a role simultaneously combined with the functional storage of kitchen ‘ware’ and utensils…The dresser and the ware it held were precious and decorative, highlighting the owner’s status and providing a talking point and a link with past generations.”. Very much in usable condition and is a comfortable size. Often these dressers have been stripped of their paint work, so to find so rich a texture and colour is scarce. Circa . For sale is this beautiful genuine vintage Ercol dresser. It's a lovely solid characterful piece with bags of character and charm. It's been hand painted in Autentico's neutral with light distress. Super clean inside and out and the top comes off for transport. Dimensions are Height 170 Width 147 Depth 51 all cms All of my items are genuine vintage or antique. Items of this age come with obvious age related knocks, bumps and scratches etc. In my opinion this only adds to the their originality and style. I have for sale the early bird ticket for Reading Festival . My boyfriend and I bought them in the pre sale last year with the intention to camp, but I no longer want to camp so the ticket is not needed. This allows you entry onto the festival site officially at 6pm on Wednesday 20th, the day before standard weekend campers. I am only selling the early bird part of the ticket, it MUST be used with the full weekend ticket. I'm asking for £65 ONO.
