Abbey Aventura , fixed bed, 'L' shape seats, awning
Abbey Aventura , fixed bed, ‘L’ shaped seating area, awning included. £ ono. This is our touring caravan, which we’ve owned for 3 years. It is sited on a caravan site near Silsden, Keighley (but can be bought and taken off the site). We have bought a static caravan on the same site, so we are reluctantly selling the tourer. It is the favoured ‘L’ shaped seating area layout, with the fixed bed across the back of the caravan. There are plenty of photos showing the inside and outside of the van. There is also a photo of the weight plate on the side of the van – this gives the important weights to ensure your tow-car is ok to pull the van. The van has an Al-ko hitch, so the towball on your car needs to be suitable for an Al-ko hitch. Condition of the van is good inside and out, with some minor scratches and blemishes in line with its age. There is a minor bit of damage on the off-side near the rear locker. The previous owners had stuck a sticker over it (can just be seen on the photos). This was about an inch long and had just scraped through the outer skin. It had never leaked through in the time we’ve had it, but I’ve now repaired the damage with some filler and painted over, so it won’t affect the van in any way. The van has a cassette toilet, bathroom sink, gas and electric water heater, gas and electric heating, gas oven, 3 gas rings and one electric ring, grill. It has an electric water pump, aquaroll for fresh water, wastemaster for grey water. The awning included is bigger than a porch awning, but not a full awning. It extends from the back of the caravan up to the side of the front window. There is a groundsheet to use in the awning. The awning is in good condition, but there is a little wear / damage on a couple of the poles. It doesn’t affect the use of the awning though – it still goes up fine. The van is water-tight with no damp. We did have a leak at the front of the van a couple of years ago, but we caught it very quickly and took it to a caravan place for repair. They replaced the seal along the top of the caravan. It stopped the leak and as we noticed the problem early, there was no damage caused. Included in sale is everything needed for touring: steps, electric hook-up lead, towing mirrors, two gas bottles (one in use, one full), hitch lock, wheel lock, levelling blocks and lot of other useful bits and bats. Viewing is welcomed. We live in Barnoldswick, Lancs, ie, 15-ish miles away, so viewings can be arranged at weekends, or for when we are staying in our static. The caravan can be bought and taken away from the site it is on. There is also the possibility of buying the van and keeping it permanently on the site. This would be subject to the site owner’s agreement and the ground rent would need to be paid. Can only show three photos. I can email more on request. Note: the caravan is paid up on the pitch until end Mar17. If anyone wants to buy it, but hasn't got any winter storage, it could be bought and stored where it is until the start of the new caravanning year. Read More
