Stunning glass coffee table, with 4 brass handles on each corner. Table held up with ornate Chinese dogs stone plinths. This is around 10 years old and has been in a room that is hardly in use. There are some light surface scratches if you are looking right up close on the glass and a chip on one side, nothing to noticeable. The brass is tarnished so needs to be polished. The jade orbs are adorned with silver dragons, Peacocks and other animals, The lions are always presented in pairs, A manifestation of yin and yang, The female representing yin And the male yang. The male lion has its right front paw on a type of Cloth ball simply called an "embroidered ball" The female is essentially identical, but has a cub Under the closer (left) paw to the male, representing The cycle of life. Symbolically, the female fu lion protects those dwelling Inside (the living soul within), While the male guards the structure (The external material elements).
