I walk dogs at all times of the year including weekends and bank holidays regardless of the weather and you can rest assured that your dog will get a decent walk, lasting at least one hour. This does not include the time taken to pick up and return your best friend. Group walks are never larger than five dogs as I believe that this is the largest number of dogs that I can responsibly walk together. I understand that many people do not have the time or the energy to walk their dog as much as they would like, either due to the demands of working life or perhaps because they have children or other obligations. I walk dogs of all types as long as they are not aggressive towards other dogs or people and each dog will get as much care and attention as if he or she were my own. I myself own 2 dogs. Every dog will have the opportunity to run around and play, and will be tired out enough to enjoy a doggy siesta before you return home. Your dog will be given a good rub down with a towel before I let him or her back into the house and I will make sure that your dog has clean water too. Unfortunately a number of behavioural problems can develop when a dog is either bored, lonely or does not get enough exercise. I'm an animal lover, plain and simple. We currently have two dogs (Merlin and Kendra), two cats (Gizzy and Angel) and an Aquarium (the fish don't have names). I have lived around animals all of my life, when I was young I had rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Hamsters. Now I am obsessed with our canine friends. I have worked under a number of dog trainers in the past, ranging from Ex police dog handlers to behaviourists. As a result I have created my own form of training which I use on my walks and during my training classes. I have completed training with the APDT and am confident in my ability to help both dogs and owners alike. The base of my business is split between dog walking services and training sessions. Dogs which I walk remain on leash for a period of time requested, either 30 minutes or 1 hour, unless owners give permission for their dog to be exercised off leash. I like to change the location of walks to give the dogs more stimulation, therefore I request that dog owners allow me to drive their dogs a short distance from their home. I work with dog owners, coming for a pre- visit to meet the owners and their dogs before they book a walk so we can talk about behaviours etc. Secondly, I have a real passion for supporting dog owners train their dogs and puppies, helping them grow in confidence, while improving their control of their dogs. Puppy classes are great for socialisation and doggy manners while basic and advanced classes develop your dog into a well rounded, obedient individual. Finally, we do have a pet sitting service available for those dogs that need a bit of extra time while their owners are out of the house. These visits include a feed, short walk, toilet break and play to help break up the day of being alone for your pooch.
