Through no fault of his own needs rehoming due to a change in circumstances and we are unable to provide him with the attention he needs. Very clever boy who's full of character and love. Needs experienced owner. Not good with cats. Good with kids although due to his large size and bouncy personality can be boisterous around small children. Billy is a jack Russel sized dog. He is about 7 yrs old. He is perfect in every way except he suffers separation anxiety. He howls if left on his own. We have tried all the advice available. He has a lovely quiet timid temperament. Ideally he needs to be the only pet in the home, no cats. He's good with children. He needs an owner who can give him the attention and love he so deserves. Sadly we recently took Billy on in the last 6 mths not realising his emotional stress if left alone. We both work so it's unfair on him. Older Dog For Rehoming

We have taken the heartbreaking decision to rehome our dog. I have had him for 7 years, originally a rescue dog he was 6 months when I got him. He has been a lovely companion but unfortunately I have a toddler and one on the way & it is hard keeping my toddler and dog apart. My dog has not grown up as a puppy with my child & although they get on, it is not fair on my dog when my toddler is trying to jump all over him. With another child on the way I am going to have less time. He is used to being walked for an hour everyday. I will not lie, being a rescue dog he has got a few issues, he hates being on his own (has been used to coming most places with me) so he sometimes has to be crated if left for short period. He is good with other small dogs but wary of big dogs, especially Alsatians so will bark at them. Good with all children, just a bit old to be pulled around by younger children. So would suit an experienced dog owner who has a lot of time on their hands to be with him. We are a family of 6, with 4 young children. We would like to bring a small dog into our family. Where it will get lots of love and attention. Rehoming a small Pomeranian x dog called turbo. He’s a very friendly happy boy who is good with my three year old boy and enjoys nothing more than a good cuddle and a good walk. 4 year old male dog for rehoming

My 4 year old male dog, he is a jack Russell x shi tzu. He is microchipped and will come with his bed lead and bowls. He needs a adult only home or a home with older children! He currently lives with myself husband 13 year old and 6 year old, he is the world's most friendliest dog and if you will meet him you will see but he does not recognise my son as above him and will try to be the boss, he has never bitten or aggressively gone for my son but he does try to be his boss which the dog should be the bottom of the pack, My dog will not be rehomed to anyone who just wants a dog as my dog is a family member but my son is becoming weary of him and I can not allow this he comes before the dog. £150 no offers. His injections are up to date but are due in June he has not been castrated and his coat being shi tzu in type needs regular grooming and professional cutting approx once every 4 months you must be prepared for this it's a added expense that you must be able to undertake it costs around £40 each time and is due before the summer. Lovely boy for rehoming. My sister is in a bit of a situation. She has 2 children under 3 years old and has recently been through a hard time and decided to get a family dog - she looked for weeks and found a nice collie x German shepherd on Facebook for rehoming. She liased with the owner and took "Buster" (16months old) on for what she thought was agreed as a trial period. From day 1 she knew it was way too much for her to cope - and realised she had made a mistake and it is too soon for her to take on a dog. Buster is brilliant with children. He is very energetic (probably the collie in him) and NEEDS training with manners etc - he is possessive over his toys and chews but this should be trained out of him with time and patience. He is fully toilet trained and doesn't steal food from tables or anything. He has a few toys and plastic bed with him. My sister messaged the owner after Day 1 and said she cannot cope and is extremely sorry but she does need to return him - the owner absolutely refused to take him back and said she cannot cope with her two young children and him anymore My sister is now in an awful situation and wants him to have a good home but at the same time needs him gone ASAP - she's very down about the whole situation He is not neutered and is overpowering to dogs he meets in the park but is not aggressive. He needs to be neutered ASAP He needs an owner who can walk him twice a day, and train him. I have been trawling the 'dog to good home - free' ads, for some time and got v.close a couple of times but alas remain disappoineed. I'm a nurse & my partner works from home so a dog would never be left alone. We both go out a lot metal detecting so I think any dog would love frequent visits to the beach. Lenny the Sharpei-Lab cross is 8 months old, he follows some commands he is good on a lead and at crossing the road, he's friendly with cats (we have 2) and children. He LOVES to play catch and go in the sea or rivers. You must be able to spend time with him and take him places, we are so busy with work that we feel he is lonely at home on his own. He does need a firm voice and can be excitable, but we know that with the right owner and lots of space to run Lenny will be the perfect companion for you.
