Frank Dickens () was a world famous English cartoonist, best known for his series “Bristow”, that appeared for as long as 51 years in “The Evening Standard”.This makes Bristow the longest-running daily comic worldwide illustrated by one cartoonist (listed in the Guinness Book of Records). Dickens received eight awards for "Strip cartoonist of the Year” by the Cartoonists' Club of Great Britain. The comic was published all over the world. Starting from , many book editions appeared of this comic.Before it was published in “the Evening Post”, it appeared in various regional newspapers. The Strip was edited for “the Evening Post” - edition from . Texts were overlaid with other texts.The strip presumably originates from before , because that is when the strip began appearing in the Evening Post.This strip is in good condition. Frame lines have not been covered. The texts were glued over, but the glued parts were easy to remove.
