This is a nice matching pair Of Victorian antique 'Chippendale style' Mahogany finish bedroom chairs. They need some tender loving care and restoration. Carved wooden backs, sprung upholstered seats. Short legs on castors. Mahogany staining to the wood. Been in my family since Grandad's time, but they no longer fit with our modern decor so must go to a new home. CONDITION: They need some care and attention/restoration work. One of the chair backs is cracked (see photos) and needs fixing, probably just a case of gluing back together and clamping though I am no expert. The fringing has been the victim of a cat's attention in the past and needs replacing. The seat material looks to be s, they may have been recovered back then. A Large Early Victorian Carved Mahogany Fireside Arm Chair Great Shape A large early Victorian carved mahogany fireside armchair, upholstered in a red velvet material, and the chair having a great shape to it. The chair frame is made from mahogany which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with the back being shaped with the top rail being carved with a blind fret carving and then with a rounded to each side. The front of the chair is formed with it having carved and bent wooden supports which have fluted carvings and again roundels and circular and lines designs. The front legs of the chair are turned tapered and fluted again. The back legs are shaped backwards. The front of the chair is bow fronted. The chair is upholstered in a red velvet material, which has diamond shaped designs on it. The arm supports are also upholstered. The chair is real comfy even after all these years and it dates to around . VICTORIAN STYLE MAHOGANY WASHSTAND

This is a very pretty little washstand and is made from Mahogany. It has small dark green, light green and maroon tiles some with small flower motif on. There is an unmarked marble top and there are two drawers with brass handles. There is also a small centre cupboard. Although I live in Portknockie now, this is kindly being looked after at my sister's home in Deskford, Nr Cullen and I would be only too pleased to meet anybody there to show this piece of furniture. I have now moved to a more modern property and reluctantly have no space for this Washstand. The measurements of the Washstand are:- W42" x H48" x D18". Chippendale Style Set of 12, Matching, Carved Mahogany Dining Chairs

A superb, quality set, of 12 matching Chippendale, reproduction dining chairs (ALL Chippendale chairs are reproduction no matter of what age unless you are paying many 100's of thousands of pounds for the real thing, if you can find any). I can't be certain as to their age so I will not pretend as to this although they definitely have some age to them. It is very unusual to find a set of 12 dining chairs of this quality. (10 singles and 2 carvers) The carving, as can be seen in the photographs, is excellent. The chairs feature shaped serpentine head rails with a delicately carved shell design to the centre. The chairs are solid with no loose legs etc. Exquisite carved open fretwork backs. Refined pierced central splats. Drop in seats which are very easy to recover. Carved' scroll cabriole legs. Ball and claw feet. Rear legs are flared at the foot (a sign of quality). Heavy chairs again a sign of quality. Gadroom moulding to the front apron of the seat. Rich dark mahogany colour and patina. They are a true set of 12 and have not been matched together. They will enhance any dining room, board room, living room etc Very rare to find a matched set of 12.
