A SUBERB QUALITY GENTS SWAINE & ADENEY HUNTING WHIP IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THIS HUNTING WHIP HAS TWO SILVER COLLARS THE TOP ONE HAS ENGRAVED ON IT, ACTING FATHER W. GRAY . THE SILVER COLLAR IN THE MIDDLE IS HALLMARKED FOR LONDON DATE LETTER H FOR . THEN RA THERE IS ALSO THE SWAINE & ADENEY SILVER BUTTON SET INTO THE STAG ANTLER HANDLE.  THE STAG ANTLER HANDLE MEASURES 6"INCHES WIDE. THE TOP HALF OF THE WHIP HANDLE MEASURES 20"INCHES LONG AND THE LEATHER WHIP IS 50" INCHES LONG. Wonderful quality, early vintage Swaine & Adeney Riding Crop Crop shaft if fully leather braided over its full length, with no damage to braiding Crop incorporates a hallmarked Silver ferrule above center of shaft (hallmarks worn) Crop handle is of Stag horn / Antler and incorporates the silver "Swaine & Adeney" button Upper ferrule is again of hallmarked silver (hallmark worn)..stamped Swaine and further inscripted "J.R  Swineshead"  (Huntingdonshire) Leather end lash eye has signs of wear and would benefit from strengthening if to be used...see pic length of ceop shaft, not inc end loop is " total length 59"
