Up for auction is our horse/pony trap which has been dry stored for some time. The trap is generally in good condition but would benefit from being freshened up. All metal and wood is solid and some quirky little lamps are installed to the front! The seat is whole and clean and has spring suspension. As shown in the photographs the top layer of lacquer is flaking a little. We do also have harnesses etc somewhere and will attempt to locate them if there is enough interest generated - this would be sold separately. Item is in North East Fife. This is a lovely pony trap that has been driven to a 13 hh pony but has not been used for some time and is in need of repainting.  It is however in sound condition.  It has metal shafts and spoked wheels, one of the tyres is perished.  It is painted black with a red trim and has red padded plastic backs to the seating which is in sound condition.  The step is a bit rusty but could be polished up or painted. The shafts are 60" long and measure 17" wide at the narrowest point and 32" wide where they are attached to the trap.  The trap is 48" long and 46" wide. With a little bit of TLC and repainting this could be a lovely little trap for next summer. Cash on collection please and collection within 7 days of auction ending.

This is done in a brown corduroy. The seat slots into the metal frame, so can come out to be stored in the dry. You could add some leather straps to secure in place if you wanted to.

This was once a very expensive, quality pony trap (sorry if that is not the right description, we know nothing about driving). It has been donated to the Flicka Foundation - (horse and donkey sanctuary). Unfortunately it has been 'eaten' in three places (as pictured) by a donkey with an appetite for wood!! Apart from these areas and where the paint has worn away on the front bars it is in very good condition, the seat, wheels etc are immaculate, I imagine a coach builder could make it look stunning.
