Vintage teacher's desk in good vintage condition. Solid wood. Heavy and sturdy. Lots of storage.

For sale: a lovely vintage, twin-pedestal school / teacher's desk. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Heavy, solid wood construction; very sturdy. The pedestal on the left side features a roll-down cupboard with slots for wooden pull-out trays, although only one of the original trays remains. The other pedestal features two roomy drawers, both partitioned. The lower drawer partition can be moved to create larger or smaller spaces within. In addition, there are two extendable leaves for writing (see photos). This desk is in good vintage condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with the age and usage. There's a splotch of ink on the interior of the top drawer, for example (as shown in photo), but this is probably what you'd expect to see in an old teacher's desk. The wood has a lovely patina, lovely colour and grain, and the handles are made of solid metal and seem to be original. This beautiful desk would make a great addition to any room with traditional or vintage decor. Width: 137cm Depth: 60cm High: 76cm Buyer to collect from Dumbarton.
