VINTAGE LEATHER RIDING BOOTS & WOODEN TREES Gentlemens leather Riding/ Hunting boots by the classic English bootmaker Peal & Co -  Circa . Size 8 - 9. Black English leather. Fully lined too in light Tan leather. Shaped tops. Internal boot pullers. Top adjustable leather garter straps. Original leather stitched soles. Rear spur restsThe length from the ground to the top of the boot measures 17 inches on the inside and 18 inches on the outside. The calf width measures approx 16 inches at the widest point. The length from toe to heel measures 11 inches at the bottom of the boot. Good condition apart from superficial cracking to the leather - which is expected due to their age. The wooden oak boot trees are etched with "left" and "right" into the top  and come in 5 adjustable  parts. On the top of each tree is a brass pull ring. The Wooden Trees are slightly bigger than the actual riding boots - so would guesstimate that they would be best suited to a size 10 or more riding boot. Heavy- so would be sent by courier.

Hopefully from the photos you will be able to see there are numerous tweed jackets, various hats including dressage hats, three pairs of boots, various waistcoats and other outdoor countryside wear. There is also a whip and saddle holder with the clothing. The gentleman who it belongs to was a member of the Beaufort hunt. This is a lovely vintage herringbone tweed riding jacket.  It has seen a few days in the saddle so has a few snags - shown in pictures - but generally, apart from the snags, the tweed is in excellent condition.  There are no repairs on the jacket. There is no fibre content label on the jacket but the tweed appears to be wool.  The lining is synthetic.  The jacket has 5 very nice buttons.
