This whip has a staghorn handle in good condition. There is a raised "gatepusher" section on the heel of the handle. There is a silver coloured collar (probably nickel), stamped "Merle & Co". The shaft or stock is of stitched leather 13.5cm then  red-gold malacca cane with a really good patina, with a second silver collar between. This collar is a little rubbed.  Original leather keeper, securely bound on. Dimensions: Handle 4½" (9cm), length not including keeper cm), keeper 7" (18cm) Please ask any questions as we are no experts in this field. Thank you for looking.

Welcome to my auction for this very good, used Vintage Eegee Whip, Riding Crop, measuring just over 25 inches in length. Made from various materials, I think the core is made from hard rubber, which is then covered, the handle with brown leather, the main shaft of woven material. The handle is tipped with a white metal cap, probably steel, and where the handle ends has a hard plastic woven textured collar, which holds the leather wrist loop. The foot of the whip is with the leather strap loop, which is neatly and skillfully held by a strong brown cotton feel thread, hand wound, acting as both a collar and securer for both shaft material, and leather loop. The leather loop is marked in gilt, 'EEGEE WHIP, MADE IN ENGLAND'. The over all condition is very good, some light wear to lower leather, some white paint to wrist strap, and tarnishing to metal cap, but please see the pictures, as it is in good used condition, still tight and tidy, and very good quality. Vintage twisted willow riding crop The top of the handle has leather on top with brass tacks and brass rings further down on the handle I believe that the handle was painted blue and the twisted part red originally but has worn away over the years to leave a lovely colouration would make a interesting display piece or could still be used for riding. the full length is 32 and half inches with the handle being 7 and a half of that. any questions please feel free to ask.
